Tuesday the 15th September at 9am local time we will be attending the MINI press conference at the IAA 2009 Frankfurt International Motorshow. This will officially kick off our coverage of the event, where MINI are expected to be unveiling the MINI Coupé Concept alongside its twin, the MINI Roadster, and we will be providing up the minute coverage through a number of sources.
We aim to provide the best, most interactive coverage of MINI at the IAA possible this year; and we’re welcoming you to join in and interact with us ahead of, and on the day. We’ll do our best to please, so if there are particular photos you would like, videos of any aspect of the vehicles MINI have on show, or any questions you would like us to attempt to get answered for you, we will do our utmost to satisfy your MINI curiosity.
While we will be featuring news and high quality images from the show on theSwitchback.com, we will be using a number of other services to interact with MINI aficionados both leading up to, and on the “big day” of the 15th September.
First and foremost, make sure you log onto Twitter and follow us there. In case you don’t already know, we can be found at twitter.com/theSwitchback. You can fire us questions and requests ahead of the day, and even on the day, and we will do our best to oblige (within reason!) with answers, including mobile video and photographs.
We’re also on Facebook. If you’re not a facebook fanatic, or just haven’t found us yet, our facebook page is at www.facebook.com/theSwitchback. Again we’ll be doing our best to take any requests and to put your inquisitive MINI minds at ease if you drop us a line on there ahead of the day, or even on the day.
We’ll also try to monitor the usual forums, such as totalMINI.com and MINI2.com for your questions on the day.
No doubt we’ll be drowned in request and demands, but that’s cool, as long as you don’t also demand our heads if we fail to answer one or two of you.
